Kale Chips, CSA, & 8 months!

Recently husband and I joined our local CSA.
That stands for "Community Supported Agriculture"
Through this program we get a box of produce, grown here in Georgia, every Wednesday. I'm very excited about this for several reasons. I love supporting local agriculture. I love that the decisions of what to cook that week will be made for me. And I love the idea of cooking with new things!

This week our box included Kale. I've made it a few times but this time I wanted to try something new. I found this cool recipe for Kale Chips.
They turned out great and were super easy!Preheat the oven to 350ยบ
Remove the stems and cut the Kale into bite size pieces.
Place them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss on some salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Toss to coat.
Lay them in a single layer and bake for 7 minutes. Watch them closely because they burn easily.
I had to do 4 batches but they were delicious and a great snack!
In other happenings...
This little lady is 8 months old now. She sits up all by herself. Eats all kinds of solid foods. And is totally in love with this whale.
If you see in both these pics she is never without it!I have to give a shout out to the pups. They are starting to interact with Greer more. She chases them around in her walker and Jackie is always sneaking in a face lick. They are so sweet with her and let her pull their ears and bang on their heads. If you're local and interested in the CSA program we use just click here.
I would recommend doing the trial pack first. After you join the program you can fill out a survey to "customize" your weekly items.
They have pick up locations almost everywhere. Mine is at a house only 3 miles from mine. It's closer than my grocery :)

Have a great week and let me know if anyone likes the kale chips!
