Breakfast

Ever hear that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day? I love breakfast, I wake up excited that it's a new day and that I get to start fresh and forget all the bad things I ate the day before.
Here is my new favorite breakfast.

A year ago I can tell you that I was eating things like waffles, pancakes, and biscuits. This breakfast is so much better in so many ways. Eggs and organic chicken sausage are lean protein. The apple gives you a low glycemic carbohydrate and almond butter is a healthy fat.
I scramble my eggs with salt and pepper and a little bit of milk. The sausage is organic chicken sausage from the meat counter. I remove the sausage from the casings. I want to make mine ground up, not large slices. The veggies in the sausage are a bag of frozen onions, red and green peppers. I dumped those in when the sausage was about cooked through. I store the leftover cooked sausage and peppers so we can use them more than one day.
The apple is red-delicious.
The almond butter is from Trader Joes. If you don't have a Trader Joes in your neighborhood I feel for you. They have great products at really great prices.
Almond butter is you guessed it, the same concept as peanut butter only almond butter is actually a good fat. Peanuts are not actually a nut, so that's why we eat almond butter.
Have a good morning. More from my paleo kitchen soon!
